Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. She is most famous for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
